The money raised by Oor Wullie’s Big Bucket Trail will support the work of Scotland’s children’s hospital charities in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.
There are loads of things you can do to raise money – and here are some ideas to start you off!
- Tartan Day – to celebrate our Scottish culture you and your schoolmates or workmates can raise money by paying £1 or making a donation to dress down and wear something tartan.
- Spikey Hair Day – Oor Wullie is famous for his spikey blond hair, your school, group or workplace could raise money by making a donation to spike your hair or come up with other crazy hairstyles.
- Sponsored silence – not one that Oor Wullie would be good at as he’s always talking to his pals Fat Boab, Wee Eck and Soapy! But you could challenge your friends to take part in a sponsored silence and see who can stay quiet for longest.
You could do a sponsored leg wax, a talent contest, a bake sale, a sponsored run or cycle, a lip sync battle or flash mob – the only limit is your imagination. We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Whatever you do, we know you will have a great time supporting your local children’s hospital charity, and your hard work will mean we can continue to offer the first-class support our communities deserve.
