Buckstone Oor Wullie

The children at Buckstone Primary wanted to decorate Oor Wullie so that he would represent a little of Scotland and a little of our school but also keep his identity. So we discussed cultural items such as the kilt, whisky and haggis; these are instantly identifiable as icons of Scotland throughout the world. The school tartan is purple and we had lots of debate about whether we should give him a kilt or keep his dungarees. The bucket is decorated with a cut up atlas map of Scotland.
