Día de Dudley
Día de Dudley is a play on the fantastical Day of the Dead celebrations that depict life and death in a wonderful display of colour. This design aims to celebrate the vibrancy of Oor Wullie's legacy, while paying homage to Dudley D. Watkins' first and last illustration of Wullie.
Amy Halliday is a local Dundee illustrator who focuses on detailed fine drawing, with a particular love of illustrating children's media. As an Illustration graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone, Amy has always enjoyed looking out to the city in which she lives to find inspiration for her work.
Neil, Laura, Nyla and Arabella would like to shout out to the fantastic staff in each of the charities who have worked so hard to bring this project to life, the artists who have created these phenomenal sculptures, and to the sponsors. But ultimately, we would like to dedicate this wonderful sculpture to all the brave children, young people and their families who attend hospital across Scotland every year.
