Oor Billy
Oor Billy is a tribute to Glasgow comedy legend Billy Connolly. The sculpture design is bright, colourful and fun...just what Billy is all about! It depicts his life - from his early days working in the Glasgow shipyards, to his boots from the ‘70s and his dungarees from the ‘80s. His shirt is based on his appearance in ‘An audience with…’ from 1985, his purple beard and moustache from the early noughties and the purple tinted glasses he wears today.
