Oor Grumps

'Our sculpture "Oor Grumps" comes from the whole school collaboration. It was inspired by our local nature reserve on Kincorth Hill known locally as the "Grumps". We studied the flora and fauna of the nature reserve and the wildlife that lives there. Each pupil designed a sculpture which they decorated in drawings which reminded them of the area. There were lots of shades of green to represent the shrubbery on Kincorth Hill, yellow for the gorse and broom which grows there, and drawings of animals seen in the area.'
