Oor Nevis
Oor Nevis is a panoramic summit view of our treasured Ben Nevis. As the UK’s highest peak, the artist felt that this would be a fantastic opportunity to show off Scotlands mountain by painting it on to the ultimate comic character, Oor Wullie. As the mountain is not accessible to all, Douglas thought that it was important to allow everyone to experience being at the highest point in the UK. As a keen skier and mountain biker, the artist grew up exploring the mountains and surrounding landscape. These landscapes are the inspiration for all his artwork.
