Oor Roots and Wings
'Oor Roots and Wings was created by pupils at Invergowrie Primary School. His final design came from most popular themes which emerged from a whole school project. The sculpture includes well-known community landmarks - Invergowrie Primary School, two churches, Bullion Hall, Invergowrie Stone, the River Tay and its bridges. The flowers and vines depict our links with James Hutton Insitute for crop research and the rainbow fingerprints represent every child in Invergowrie Nursery and Primary School, with a different colour for each class. Roots and Wings reflects our school vision, values and aims, with school root values at the base and aspirations for all our pupils soaring on butterfly wings.'
