Children’s Aid (Scotland) is a registered Scottish Charity which was established over 35 years ago to raise vital funds to support children’s charitable causes throughout Scotland. The Charity was established and is run by a small committee of Glasgow based businessmen who all give their time on a purely voluntary basis. Every penny raised by Children’s Aid is therefore donated to the children’s charities and disadvantaged children we provide support to. To date, over £3.5 million has been raised and distributed. Spifox is the Scottish Property and Construction Industry Charity. We raise circa £400-500k annually all of which we donate to Scottish Children Charitable Causes (all our Trustee input is voluntary). We raise the money through three main events – our Xmas Carol Concert and Lunch afterwards (1600 attendees and understood to be the largest Charity Lunch run annually in Britain), our Glasgow Lunch (850 attendees), and a summer golf outing. Spifox stands for Scottish Property Industry for Xmas as we set up 30 or so years ago to organise our first fundraiser which was the Xmas Carol Concert and Lunch. Since 1983 we have raised well over £4.5m. More background on Spifox can be viewed at www.spifox.co.uk.
