Oor Wullie, Aberdeen Loon

'Oor Wullie, Aberdeen Loon was designed by the p1 and p5/6 pupils at Quarryhill who have been working together on this project. The pupils came up with the idea that they wanted to base their sculpture on the local area of Aberdeen and what it means to them. They have tried to include local landmarks. Oor Wullie, Aberdeen Loon's dungarees have been sectioned in to a patchwork design with each section being drawn and painted by a p1 pupil and their p5/6 buddy. Doric words have been included within our design to capture the Doric language and highlight the importance to the local area.'
