Practice Makes Perfect

This Oor Wullie was inspired by the attitudes of the children and young people the artist works with. She says, "Last year I was clearing up at the end of a 3D printing class and asked a boy what the pile of plastic was next to him (just in case it wasn't to be recycled). He told me it was his first 13 attempts. I was amazed at the boy’s perseverance and ever since I have viewed these piles of mistakes as beautiful examples of the learning process that children go through as they practice something that they want to be good at."
