Wullie McMerladdie

Wullie McMerladdie has been created by community groups based in Inverkeithing. Fizzy Milk* (a young contemporary art group), Inverkeithing Community Use and Inverkeithing Primary and High School have all helped to create our wonderful Merman. We have decided to look at the important theme of plastic pollution in the sea as Inverkeithing is next to the Firth of Forth. Therefore we have made Wullie into a beautiful Merman with a tail of recycled woven plastic. Wullie himself has magnificent sea creatures drawn upon him.
